We adopt a risk based approach, employing performance-based fire engineering techniques to drive our designs. The methodology uses fire engineering principles based on the BS 7974 and associated documents. A key element of the fire system design is undertaking a fire risk assessment of each area within larger properties, with an emphasis on continuous fire risk assessment.

The historical nature of some buildings present a number of challenges; however Kingfell is experienced in devising appropriate solutions for complex buildings, of any age.

In addition to the in-house commissioning of a Kingfell installed solution, we can also offer third party commissioning and certification in accordance with the standards the system has been installed to. With input from our Consultancy personnel we can also offer advice and certification to standards for both Fire Detection and Fire Suppression installations to such standards as LP1014 or EN54.
