Kingfell have been working in conjunction with the International Convention Centre, Birmingham to design and oversee the replacement of its fire alarm panels. This is a large and complex building with many events running throughout the year. One of the key challenges for the design and installation was the client requirement to maintain full functionality of the building throughout the whole process.

We have been working closely with Serco Docklands and the Docklands Light Railway to develop a robust fire strategy across its entire infrastructure. In addition we have provided fire safety workshops to senior management and fire risk assessments for its stations and depots.

We have provided fire and evacuation models for mass transit premises to determine and establish safe means of escape from the public areas. The project has involved liaison and presentations to the local fire authority to demonstrate a safe fire strategy.

Following the tragic fatal fires in High Rise Flats in London, we have worked closely with local authorities providing them with fire risk assessments, building condition reports and fire plans for their high risk premises.
